200 expected at BLM events
As many as 200 people are expected by Thames Valley Police to attend the Black Lives Matter events on Friday and Saturday.
According to information we have seen, the Police expect this to be a peaceful protest and there to be between 100 and 200 in attendance. A dedicated control room will be in operation and there will be Police Officers on the ground.
The first of the two events is a protest and it will take place on Friday 12 June at 2pm. It will begin at the Clock Tower on Northbrook Street. There is more info about the protest here.
Meanwhile a kneel of solidarity is happening on Saturday 13 June at midday at the Bandstand in Victoria Park. You can find out more about this event on their Facebook page.
