A drugs delivery to Newbury lands two in trouble
A drugs delivery to Newbury that went wrong landed two men in court earlier this week.
According to Wales Online two men were told to travel to Liverpool in order to pick up a large consignment of Xanax tablets and deliver them to Newbury the following day.
Cardiff Crown Court heard that the value of the Xanax tablets was between £4,000 and £6,000 in bulk but sold individually could reach up to £50,000.
Many people who take Xanax recreationally, or without a prescription, describe the feeling as sedating or calming.
Unfortunately Nicholas Singleton, 35, and Christopher Peach, 33, somehow got lost on their way to Newbury and were caught by Police in Wales in April.
Judge Richard Twomlow put Singleton behind bars for two years and four months. Peach received a 12 month community order with 120 hours unpaid work.
