Big news for two popular pubs
There is big news for drinkers in Newbury after two pubs revealed some pretty exciting news.
On Bartholomew Street, owners of The Newbury Pub announced that they had been given permission to expand their operation.
Management at the Pub today said that it’s been a long time in the making but they have some brilliant news, adding: "The copper still is being built specially for us and the council has now given us approval to build Newbury’s very own craft gin distillery within the newbury pub."
Meanwhile to the west of Newbury, a group has announced that they plan to re-open The White Hart in Hampstead Marshall in August 2018.
Peas and Carrots Ltd, who will run the pub, are a family owned business and are passionate about great fresh locally sourced food and the highest service standards.
The news of the White Hart's resuscitation will be a welcome relief for many who have campaigned tirelessly to stop it being turned into housing.
