Boobars was liquidated
Earlier this year the popular BBQ eatery at the Kennet Centre suddenly shut its door.
The decision to close the doors appeared from nowhere and caused a lot of shock across the town.
It has been revealed that the eatery had in fact been liquidated. Essentially that means the company was closed and the employees lost their jobs.
According to Companies House, it was agreed that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up the same and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.
For the year up to March 2016 the company made a loss of more than £17,000 according to unaudited accounts.
Despite the disappointing news, the owners of Boobars have vowed to re-open sometime next year.
