Bowling alley hygiene failures revealed
More details have been revealed about why the MFA Bowling Alley scored just one out of five when it came to hygiene.
An inspection in November by West Berkshire Councils uncovered a number of unpleasant findings and a Freedom Information Request has revealed exactly what they were.
The Council and the Alley's owners have said that things have since improved at the popular attraction, but here is what they found:
Raw bacon left in a fridge next to cooked ham
No labels to show when food had been opened
Dirty chopping boards and microwave
Staff handling of raw and ready to eat foods
Mould under the slush puppy machine
Rubbish stored behind a chest freezer
Wall paint peeling that could fall in drinks
Oil drums in the basement that could attract vermin
