Bridge at the station opens
Two months later than originally planned and Newbury Train Station's new bridge has finally opened.
Network Rail blamed the late opening on bad weather over the winter.
The bridge at the western end of the platform replaced the much more convenient wooden crossing close to the waiting room and platforms.
Network Rail replaced the bridge to allow for the electrification of the railway tracks that is currently being undertaken.
Passengers using the bridge now have lift access.
Work will begin next week to remove the old bridge as part of the four day track closure.
