Car park Panto at the Racecourse

A Panto with a difference is coming to Newbury this Christmas.

Two performances of Horrible Christmas will entertain crowds at the Racecourse, getting families into the festive spirit in a safe, socially distanced manner, from the comfort of their cars on Wednesday 23 December.

Harriet Collins, Marcomms & Sponsorship Director for Newbury Racecourse says: “Following the success of the Car Park Party live events this summer here at the racecourse, we are thrilled to welcome back Horrible Histories to host a Christmas panto, all socially distanced and from the safety and comfort of your own car. With Christmas not that far away and plenty of uncertainty around what we are able to do, this is a fantastic and safe experience for all the family to enjoy.”

Neal Foster from the Horrible Histories team added: "As you’d expect from Horrible Histories, it’s not a traditional pantomime, but a journey through the story of Christmas in the company of the season’s most fabulous characters. It’s the perfect story for families this winter, as one young boy battles to save Christmas for the world, in this hilarious, joyous and moving celebration.”

There are limited tickets for each show priced at £45 per sleigh/car (£2.50 booking fee applies). Grab the reigns and secure your space for the drive-in event of the season by visiting carparkparty.com.
