Coppa Club for Newbury?
The closure of the Strada restaurant on the Market Square came as quite a surprise to many of its regular diners late last year.
But there could be good news on the horizon as the popular Sonning and London-based eatery, Coppa Club, is looking to snap up some of the recently closed Strada units.
In an article in the Telegraph, owners of the small chain said they were considering their options on three of the recently closed sites.
The Stradas in Blackheath, Camden, Cardiff, Clapham, Cobham, Harpenden, Newbury and York closed in December. Horsham and the Mailbox site in Birmingham close this month.
Coppa Club describes itself as offering a menu that focuses on thoughtful, unfussy, European food from small plates and snacks to grilled mains, sourdough pizzas and healthy salads. There's a wide selection of breakfast and brunch dishes and the bar serves carefully-chosen wines, beers and classic cocktails as well as new creations.
