Crime comedy capers at the Corn Exchange
On Thursday 11 October Le Navet Bete returns to the Corn Exchange Newbury with Dick Tracy: A Comedy Caper, which promises to have the bad guys in handcuffs and the audience in stitches.
There’s been a series of high-profile crimes right across the city, but fear not, the police chief’s put his best man on the job – Dick Tracy. It’s now down to the square-jawed, hard-hitting, fast-shooting, comic book detective to solve the crime the only way he knows how… the crime solving way. La Navet Bete was last at the Corn Exchange in May with Dracula: The Bloody Truth. With their work rooted in the ridiculous, Dick Tracy is a physical comedy that incorporates fooling, original live music, plenty of audience interaction, lightning quick character changes and incredibly authentic accents spattered with mystery, malice and mischief. Will this world-famous detective be able to save the day, get the girl and get to the bottom of who’s causing the mayhem? Come and find out at Dick Tracy: A Comedy Caper at the Corn Exchange Newbury on Thursday 11 October, 7.45pm. Tickets £18 (£16.50 concessions, £8 schools and under-25s). Age guide 5+. To book tickets visit www.cornexchangenew.com or call the Box Office on 0845 5218 218 (calls cost 2p per minute plus your telephone company’s standard access charge).
