Fireworks at the Racecourse and Thatcham
The skies above Newbury Racecourse will light up with a spectacular display of fireworks on Saturday 2 November.
Gates open at 5.30pm for the display at 7.30pm and there will be a decidedly spooky feel about this year’s event, being so close to Hallowe’en. As well as watching the display, there will be an opportunity to experience a scary maze provided by Zombie Infection.
There will be the usual hot food, drinks and bar plus an additional gin bar, kindly provided by The Catherine Wheel.
The Funfair will also be on site for your enjoyment.
The event is organised by the Lions Club of Newbury to raise money for their welfare fund, which supports local people throughout the year.
You can get tickets from the following locations:
· The Corn Exchange (and online)
· Tesco Stores in Pinchington Lane, Northbrook St, London Road and Northfield Road, Thatcham
· Newbury Building Society branches in Newbury, Thatcham and Hungerford
· The Lodge at Newbury Racecourse
· The Lions will also be out in Newbury on Saturdays 19 & 26 October selling from their market stall
Elsewhere Francis Baily PTA and Kennet School PTA Charities will be joining forces again in 2019 to host fireworks night for all of Thatcham and beyond on Friday 8 November on their shared school field.
This year their professional display will be set to the music from The Greatest Showman.
