Free tennis at the new courts

Newbury Town Council, in partnership with Newbury Tennis School, will be delivering an Open Day offering a number of fun activities for the whole family on Saturday 8 April starting at 11am.

This is a free event with a chance to experience the new courts in the Park and have a go at tennis with our professional tennis team! The coaching team will be offering a number of free taster sessions for the whole family, from Mini Tennis to Cardio tennis! Book your place to get involved - www.greatbritishtennisweekend.com.

The Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Julian Swift-Hook will be in attendance to open the proceedings and will be encouraging everyone to have a go and see what’s on offer.

Cllr Dave Goff, Leader of the Council, said, “We are pleased that we will have Newbury Tennis School on board to provide a coaching facility at our newly refurbished courts in Victoria Park. The courts are already a great success with a number of people signing up to our Annual Membership which costs just £36 a year for a whole family to play as much as they like. Come along to our Open Day and see what it’s all about!”
