Hog and Hedge progresses
Newbury's latest eaterie, Hog and Hedge, is aiming for an autumn opening.
The new place will serve quality, healthy fresh food and drink in a clean, safe and homely environment, where, according to the owners, their guests can expect first rate facilities and first class service.
Hog and Hedge's food is carefully sourced from local suppliers and is freshly made on site every day, and their hand roasted speciality coffee is lovingly prepared by fully trained baristas.
Managing Director, Rupert Burnell-Nugent, told us that there had "been a number of property related matters to resolve" and that's why things had not as progressed as quickly as hoped since planning was approved by the Council.
Now work is moving forward at the former Game Store on Northbrook Street with Rupert saying: "There is a lot to do to the building as the upper floors haven't been occupied for a couple of decades. We expect to complete the work by late September and open shortly after that."
There is one other Hog and Hedge located on the A30 west of Exeter.
A number of jobs have been advertised and can be seen here.
