Homes for Newbury Business Park
Three buildings within Newbury Business Park on London Road could be turned into apartments.
A planning notification appeared on the Council’s website this morning but it quickly disappeared.
During its brief appearance it was clear that two of the Park’s buildings that had not been occupied for a while would see sofas replacing the water cooler and white boards. The third building that will soon be vacant once the current occupiers move out will also be converted.
The buildings referenced in the document were Lambourn, Derby and Nexus House.
According to the document more than 120 one-bedroom apartments could be made available within the development, with the conversion of properties at the Overbridge Business Park being highlighted as setting a precedent.
It is not yet known how many of the apartments will be for social housing.
