Hygiene failure at King's Cafe
Another eatery in Newbury has failed to impress food hygiene inspectors from West Berkshire Council.
The latest food establishment to score the second lowest mark on the Food Hygiene’s rating system this year was the King’s Café on the Broadway.
Inspected in February after the new owners took over, it was reported there was major improvement necessary when it came to the system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future.
We have asked the owners of the Café for comment but had no response.
King’s Café joins the growing list of Newbury food establishments that are scoring just one. Others include Bodrum Takeaway, Mr Moo Juice as well as the Canal Bar & The Old Wagon and Horses
