Keeping it in the family
It's been revealed through Parliamentary declarations that Newbury MP, Richard Benyon, has started employing his sister at his Cheap Street office.
The UK's richest MP has said that since the end of January, his sister Catherine Haig, has been on the payroll.
She is working as a part-time Senior Researcher.
After the next general election MPs will be banned from hiring their children and spouses on the public purse. According to the Telegraph it comes after criticism that allowing MPs to hire relatives is "unjust" and encourages "nepotism".
