Kennet Centre airsoft attraction temporarily closes
The new Kennet Centre airsoft leisure attraction has closed temporarily just a week after it opened.
Owners of the venue, Zed Adventures, have made the move with great sadness and are hoping to find a solution to the temporary closure.
Zed Adventures opened their new airsoft combat attraction in the former Debenhams unit within the Kennet Centre just last week. Airsoft is a competitive team shooting sport in which participants eliminate opposing players with spherical plastic projectiles launched via replica air weapons called airsoft guns.
A statement made by the company said: "It's with great sadness & massive frustration that we need to announce that we need to cancel all planned events for our new cqb site, Z-MART for this week. Anybody who has booked & paid will receive an email asking for your details so that we can refund you.
"We're hoping that we can find a solution &/or an answer from the government which means that we can run our planned events for next week so keep all your digits crossed for us. We've worked too long & too hard to pull this rabbit out of a magic hat to let it go now so we'll continue to hammer at every door we can to try to aid us running but at the end of the day, we won't risk your safety."
