Market to continue during lockdown
Newbury's Market will continue to take place during lockdown although new restrictions will be in place.
The new rules mean only essential goods can be sold on the Thursday and Saturday market days.
Newbury Market said: "Our Thursday and Saturday Market will be operating following the latest Government announcement. The Market can only offer 'essential goods', therefore only our food and drink items. Remember to social distance to protect you and our traders."
Last month it was revealed that Newbury's Artisan Market had been postponed until next year due to "due to the tightening of restrictions by Government, and the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the county."
