More store closures in Town Centre
More stores across Newbury are clearing their stock as they prepare for closure.
Jones Bootmaker closed recently at the Parkway after the company was taken over by Pavers.
According to Fashionunited the deal did not include Jones head office, which currently employs 50 people, and five stores, leading to 86 redundancies in total.
As well as Jones, Maplin is currently holding a closing down sale on Northbrook Street. They are currently offering up to 60% much of their stock.
Maplin, one of Britain’s biggest electronics brands, announced on February 28, that it was going into administration.
Bags Etc in the Kennet Centre also has signs at their store indicating that they are also shutting.
