New bar for Bartholomew Street
Plans have been lodged that could see a new drinking establishment opening on Bartholomew Street.
An application to change a former hair dressing salon at 10 Bartholomew Street to a drinking establishment has been submitted to West Berkshire Council.
If all goes to plan, the new bar will employ three people and would be open until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights with an earlier closure during the rest of the week. It would also have an outdoor terrace area to the rear.
The application says the space will provide an ideal location for a drinking establishment, where other successful bars are operating, thus resulting in a making a positive contribution to the local economy too.
The client for the scheme is James Allen.
