New eatery signs up for Kennet Centre
Bosses at the Kennet Centre have revealed that a new restaurant has signed up to move under the Vue Cinema.
No names have been announced yet for who will take the unit that measures 4,900 sq ft fronting on to the Market Street and Cheap Street junction.
Eleven months ago bosses at the Kennet Centre were given the go-ahead for the redevelopment of the area under the Vue Cinema along Cheap Street to the unit previously occupied by Ripples to create a new leisure quarter.
Despite planning permission being gained, little has happened in terms of progress to the public at least until now. Earlier this year Kennet Centre management told us that the economic downturn had impacted their plans.
According to the documents submitted to West Berkshire Council, the new occupier wants to merge two units that measure 3,500 sq ft and 1,200 sq ft respectively.
