Newbury Train Station usage up
The number of us passing through Newbury Train Station has increased compared to the previous 12 months.
Data from the Department for Transport shows that in 2014/15 there were 1,745,710 people entering and exiting the station. In 2015/16 that figure had risen to 1,826,560.
According to GWR, this is down to new higher capacity trains that are running from the Town towards Reading and Paddington.
There was also an increase of 11,000 people entering and exit the station at the Racecourse.
