Road closure at B&Q for resurfacing

West Berkshire Council has announced a number of road closures so they can carry out carriageway resurfacing of the A4 between B&Q Roundabout and Tull Way Roundabout as well as a section of Lower Way and Hambridge Road from the A4 to south of Two Rivers Way.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a letter about the closures was not delivered to any residential dwellings or businesses. 


Beginning on Monday 1 June there will be a number of daytime closures between 9:30am to 23:30pm. Later in June there will also be some night closures between 19:00pm to 5:00am.


1st June – 5th June 2020 Day working

A4 closed Westbound between Tull Way Roundabout and stop line prior to Hambridge Road Junction (East side of the junction). Hambridge Road will be open but only accessed from Newbury direction (Eastbound traffic). Lower Way closed from the A4 to property 259, access via Pound Lane. Access to Southdown Road will be from Newbury direction (Eastbound traffic).


8th June – 10th June 2020 Day working

A4 closed Westbound between Tull Way Roundabout and B&Q Roundabout. Hambridge Road will be open but no access for Westbound traffic. Lower Way closed from the A4 to property 259, access via Pound Lane. Access to Dorneywood Way, Newbury Manor Hotel and the road leading to Ham Mill will be from the A4 Newbury direction (Eastbound traffic).
