Seven new doggy-doo bag dispensers in Newbury
A network of seven new free dog bag dispenser stations was launched in Newbury today.
West Berkshire Council's Countryside Team teamed up with Parish Council's and local companies across the district to make the project happen.
The stations have been sponsored by local companies with a keen interest in the environment and corporate social responsibility. They are being hosted by West Berkshire Council, Newbury Town Council, Thatcham Town Council, BBOWT, Holybrook, Pangbourne, and Purley Parish Councils.
Dominic Boeck, West Berkshire's Executive Member for the Environment said, "I am very pleased that we have been able to install these new stations. Generally, dog owners in West Berkshire are very responsible when it comes to clearing up as they go, but the addition of 37 new bag stations will make it even easier and more convenient for them and to ensure our streets and parks are kept clean."
