Spate of burglaries prompts reminder
Residents in Newbury are being reminded to lock their front and rear doors by Thames Valley Police.
The plea comes on the back of several burglaries in the Newbury area over the last 14 days.
Police are saying offenders have gained entry to properties because either the front or rear doors to the properties have not been locked.
They say all doors and windows are locked especially during these warmer evenings even if you are out in your garden.
Adding: “We are aware that some UPVC doors require the key to be used from the inside and it is not completely locked if the door handle is just lifted.”
If any local resident has any information in relation to these burglaries please call the police on 101.
