The pub that causes the council the biggest headache

Stats from West Berkshire Council have shown which is the most complained about pub in Newbury 2016.

The information from licence officials, via a freedom of information request, show that the biggest offender when it came to noise from both music and people was the Snooty Fox on Bartholomew Street with eight registered complaints.

Exactly a year ago a Judge in Newbury heard about an incident in the Snooty Fox involving a drinker in the pub headbutting a bouncer.

Student Magazine, the Tab, ranked it as being one of the worst home-town pubs in the country.

Other pubs to make the offenders list include the Crown and Garter, which had four complaints, while the Diamond Tap and the Crown Inn both had three.
