Thousands of pounds on offer for good causes
This year, Greenham Trust made £330,000 available for their Reactive Grant Scheme to be distributed in two grant rounds. During the Spring grant round, their Distribution Committee allocated just over £160,000 across 57 projects leaving a significant balance for the upcoming Autumn grant round.
Greenham Trust are now inviting applicants to submit their projects via www.thegoodexchange.com for the Autumn grant round for which the closing date is Friday 11 October. Applications received by this date will be considered for a grant and notified of a decision by Mid-November 2019.
The Spring grant round reviewed a diverse range of applications and supported a variety of projects. For example, Community Youth Project received £5,000 for their summer activities, Berkshire MS Therapy Centre received £2600 for their physiotherapy sessions and Newbury Soup Kitchen received £3,000 for their running costs.
Jaz Ghalley, Grant Administrator at Greenham Trust says: “We look forward to receiving applications for new initiatives that will support a wide range of beneficiaries. We will be shortlisting new applications as well as projects that have already been fundraising on The Good Exchange. I recommend new applicants review our funding criteria on our website before applying. My suggestion to applicants that are already fundraising for their project is to gain as much community interest as possible by encouraging people to donate towards their project. Any applicants seeking advice and guidance for this process can contact me directly.”
Applications will also be considered for Trust Top-Up, a scheme where Greenham Trust offers up to £5,000 of matched funding against public and company donations made on-line via The Good Exchange. More information on Trust Top Up can be found on the Trust website.
