Wetherspoon committed to Diamond Tap - for now at least
Owners of the Diamond Tap, Wetherspoon, has once again said they will not be letting their staff or customers down ten months after the pub was put for sale.
The pub was put up for sale in May last year along with around 30 others that were owned by the chain across the country.
Despite many of the pubs being snapped up by the owners of the Slug and Lettuce, Yates and Walkabout, the for sale continues to hang metaphorically over the Cheap Street pub.
At the time of the announcement that the Diamond Tap was going up for sale, Wetherspoon said that they would continue to operate it until a buyer could be found.
And today that message was repeated by Wetherspoon saying the pub remains on the market and will continue to operate as a Wetherspoon until it is sold.
