Where to eat out at home in lockdown

We have pulled together a list of the places staying open to serve up some great food during lockdown in and around Newbury Town Centre.

Fusion Deli

They are staying open for take out service only from Thursday. Their full menu will be including coffees, burritos, baguettes and ciabattas. They are also now on deliveroo offering meal deals and coffee if you want home delivery. Check out their Facebook.


Order your Japanese takeaway with 10% discount every Tuesday- Thursday using TTT10 promo code at payment. During lockdown they will be open for collections and deliveries

Empire Cafe

Newbury's oldest family owned bakery are open Thursday/Friday/Saturday each week. Any bread cakes etc can be bought in the shop or delivery over £10 spend in the Newbury/Thatcham area. Their Facebook has more info.

Flower Pot Cafe

The Flower Pot Cafe is open for takeaway Tuesday to Saturday. Call 01635 46439 to place an order.

Sushi Maki

The Market Place outlet are operating collections and delivery seven days a week at their usual times of 12-3pm & 5-9pm! More here.


Popular pizza outlet, Lusso, will be open in the evenings for take away and delivery. More here.

Mio Fiore

The Italian restaurant will remain open for collections and deliveries during their normal opening hours. Check out their website for more info.


The burger joint on the bridge will be open for click and collect. Just download the app.

Pizza Pilot

The Pizza Pilot has proved popular at Newbury Market as have their pop up evenings. Keep an eye on their social media for delivery evenings.


The Parkway coffee outlet will be keeping its coffee machines fired up during lockdown. They say their team are ready to serve your favourite drinks, cakes and more over lockdown. More here.


Their restaurants may be closed, but they do have Côte at Home aiding effortless cooking in the comfort of your own home. Their website has more details.


The Wash Common cafe will be operating as a takeaway from Thursday onwards. They have artisan groceries and a couple of themed takeaway evenings planned. Check out their social media pages.

Greenham Control Tower

Greenham Control Tower is open for takeaway as usual during the lockdown. They have a marquee so people on the common don't have to queue in the rain. More here.

The Castle

From Thursday you'll be able to order from their brand new takeaway menu! Takeaways are available Thursday to Saturday, between 4pm and 8pm. Order at least one hour in advance and state your preferred collection time. As well as that you can get yourself a Sunday lunch delivered. Please order by 6pm Saturday for collection between 11am and 1pm on Sunday. More info on their website. Donnington Valley Hotel

Choose from traditional Fish and chips, delicious dirty burgers, Wagyu beef burgers or fancy falafel burgers. Call them by 4pm on the day, payment will be taken over the phone and you will be allocated a time slot for collection. Hartley Arms

Burger, pasta, pie, chicken drumsticks and curry feature on the menu at the Hartley Arms on Thursday to Saturday when takeaway will be available 5pm until 8pm. Sunday Lunch will be available from takeaway from 12pm until 4pm. All takeaways must be ordered in advance by either phone (020) 76614025 or email info@thehartleyarms.co.uk where you will be assigned a time slot for collection. Their Facebook has a bit more info.

Five Bells

If you are in the Wickham area, then the Five Bells has a wide range of options from their takeaway menu and at their Saturday market. More here.

The Dolphin
